Island Tree Farm Bed and Breakfast

During your stay at Island Tree Farm, you may wish to spend some time down at our private shore overlooking Cameron's Cove in Merigomish Harbour. A quick stroll or drive down through our tree farm will bring you to the quiet shore. During the day you can walk around the cove and marvel at the various shell fish and scenery. However, if you prefer, we have a large screened in gazebo at the shore from which you can still admire the harbour and wildlife. Try picnicing here in or outside the gazebo.

In the evening you may enjoy roasting marshmallows or hotdogs over the open pit fire while relaxing under the stars. If you like water sports and have brought your canoe or boat, there is a boat launch down at the shore as well. We are sure that you will have fun and enjoy your time spent at the shore.

If you prefer, you can find a comfortable chair in our livingroom and settle down for a while with a movie from our video collection and relax in front of the television or try your hand at the piano.

If games are your thing, make your choice and challenge your partner or new acquaintaince to a game. Or perhaps, a quiet time reading under the shade of a tree would be more appealing. Be as sociable or private as you choose, just savour your stay at Island Tree Farm.

Here you are centrally located for trips to festivals in New Glasgow, Pictou and Antigonish. We are 30 minutes from New Glasgow and Antigonish and 45 minutes from the town of Pictou. There are boat tours from New Glasgow to Pictou and a water taxi as well. Pictou County has couple of golf courses as well as two malls and lots of other great shops downtown and around New Glasgow and Pictou.
